Mario Miranda was a renowned Goan artist and cartoonist known for finding humor in everyday life. Born in 1926, he was invited worldwide for his iconic drawings that captured the essence of his travels. He received the Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian award. "The Fruit Seller" is a drawing he made during a visit to Macau in 1999 while representing Fundacao Oriente, reflecting his love for the place and the friendships he made there.
